Setting a clear and precise objective is one of the key elements of the lesson that is sometimes overlooked, students need to be aware of the goal of the lesson and should be active participants in achieving this goal as well as evaluating their progress.
Teachers evaluate student progress by giving different forms of feedback such as grading, comments and questions.
My goal for this term is to involve students in bi-weekly reflection and evaluation my performance as well as their own learning experiences in class. With each lesson, I take temperature of the class by conducting polls and exit tickets. This is very valuable for day to day planning needs, however I would like to make students reflect on the bigger picture. Before moving on to review and assessment I will incorporate a google form.
This is still work in progress and I will evaluate and change the form to be more specific.
Here is the link to the form Unit Evaluation Form
